Award Selection Process
The selection process for the African Trade Magazine Award (ATMA) is designed to be rigorous, transparent, and comprehensive, ensuring that only the most deserving brands are recognized. Here’s an overview of the process:
Brands are nominated through a combination of public submissions, industry expert recommendations, and ATMA’s own market research
Nominated brands undergo an initial screening to ensure they meet the basic criteria of operational excellence, market presence, and adherence to ethical standards.
Brands are evaluated based on a range of criteria including innovation, market share, customer satisfaction, sustainability practices, and impact on the local and continental economy presence, and adherence to ethical standards.
A panel of industry experts and analysts conducts an in-depth review of the shortlisted brands. This panel assesses each brand’s performance using both qualitative and quantitative measures
The shortlisted brands are presented to the public for voting. This phase allows consumers and stakeholders to have a voice in recognizing the brands that resonate most with them
Combining the expert panel’s evaluations and public voting results, a final assessment is made. The top 50 brands are selected based on their overall scores
The winners are officially announced at the annual ATMA ceremony, where they are celebrated for their achievements and contributions to African trade and industry
This meticulous process ensures that ATMA winners truly represent the pinnacle of business excellence in Africa
